“Are you sure you need to leave?” Earth Star asked Frederick.
“I don't think it's important to you all that I stay.” said Frederick, raising his staff. The blue glow on it shone for a moment, and the magic revealed an image of a portal. “This reaction when I raise my staff means the Fairy Ring is near. You should get there in a few days, but I need to be there to ensure the last toads get there. It could be a dangerous place.”
“Why?”
“If a predator finds the Fairy Ring, it'll wait there until some toadlets show up, and then strike.”
